What are Stars?                                           Star is a huge ball of gas made up of hydrogen and helium.

What elements stars are

made of?                                                       Hydrogen and helium.

Okay stars begins its life made

up of mostly hydrogen and

helium.

What are the different colors

of the stars?                                                  Blueish/blue, white, yellow, orange, and red.

What colors of the stars indicate

that they are the hottest?

      (Call a student)                                       Blueish/ blue colors of the star indicate that they are hottest.

Blue/blueish color stars are the

hottest white red stars are the

coolest

(Show a pictures of stars)

What is this a star or a planet?                  Star

Let us arrange these stars

According to their temperature

From coolest to hottest.

Red star – is about 3,000̊C

Orange star- is about 4,000̊C

Yellow star- is about 6,000̊C

White star- is about 11,000̊C

Blue star- is about 40,000̊C

Red star is the coolest followed

by orange, yellow, white, and

the hottest blue star.

Activity 1

Group the class into 4 groups then

they will observe the flame of candle.

Teacher will give the instructions

1.    Light the candle

2.    Observe the flame

3.    List down on your notebook what

have you observe

                        The teacher will ask each group what

they saw and respond to the following

questions:

Which part of the flame do you think

is the hottest?                                                           Probable answers:

The blue part is the hottest, Yellow because it is the most abundant.

                        The blue part is hottest.

                        In stars, just as in Earth fire, blue is

                        Hotter than yellow flame.

    a picture of its habitat. They

    may choose from one of the

    lesson and color it.

    Using ¼ size bond paper,

    pencil and crayons.

10. 2 marbles + 3 marbles = 5

           

      After they finish answering all

      problems the group that has highest

      point will be the winner and also the

       first place then other groups wil be

       the second place and the third placer.
